Ourganics Practical Forest Gardening Course

Firstly, I am delighted to welcome you to my new blog and website, carefully crafted by Simon West and the eco team at Swan Developments.

I have been actively involved in the horticultural world here in the South West for more years than I care to mention as a designer, consultant and hands-on landscaper. In my forthcoming posts, I’ll share some of my top tips for making your green space absolutely amazing.

I’ll also show you some rather breathtaking images that I’ve taken of flora and fauna that I’ve nurtured in public and national gardens in Devon, Dorset and Somerset and I’ll  do all I can to encourage you to look at your garden and the surrounding countryside with a fresh enthusiasm!

However, for now it’s time to announce details of the third forest gardening course at Ourganics and  as usual, I will be teaching and demonstrating skills to an international group of permaculturalists and forest gardeners.

It will be take place between 19th and 24th February at Ourganics, Litton Lane, Litton Cheney, Bridport in Dorset DT2 9DH.

Topics covered include tree and shrub planting, pruning skills, propagation by cuttings and seed, composting and mulching, plant maintenance and after-care.

We will be going to Martin Crawford’s Agroforestry Research Trust forest garden to see how it all works.

For further information and to book your place, please visit  Designed Visions or The Permaculture Association.

I would love to see you there and if you’d like to ask me anything before you commit to booking the course, don’t hesitate to drop me a line.

Finally, why not subscribe to my blog (pop your email address in the box on the left) to be kept informed of other courses like these and to be advised of my next posting.

Abundantly yours,
PG
